TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you deposit.
